What's a Doula?

A Doula is a professional Pregnancy Coach that supports you during your pregnancy, birth, and early days into parenthood. They are a part of your birth team, but they do not provide medical advice.

At Yes I Doula!, we are specially trained to support normal to high-risk pregnancies. Our doula services are anchored to four key principles.

Just facts, tips, and real talk. Science has proven that doula-supported births have better health outcomes. Receive evidence-based information to help you feel prepared and in control for labor & delivery. Learn what to expect in the hospital, ask the right questions, and receive the care you deserve.

We will attend your birth in person supporting position changes that speed up birth, teach breathing strategies that calm you, practice comfort measures, and initiate breastfeeding immediately after birth. We also teach your birth partner how to support you during labor and delivery.

We advocate for your health, your baby's heath, and birth plan decisions to promote the best outcomes and positive birth experience.

We support normal to high-risk pregnancies. We guide you and your birth partner through everything you need to know for a confident birth experience in the hospital.

We make it easy to get care. No need to travel anywhere. Meet via telehealth and schedule visits when they fit your schedule. This increases access to doula support in rural areas too.
